PVCC Theatre is proud to announce our Spring production!
With the mentorship of Arizona Theatre Company, students wrote, directed, acted, filmed and edited their pieces to share with audiences. The pieces are heartwarming, touching, real, and sometimes even comedic.
The Visual and Performing Arts Career Panel offers students the opportunity to learn about the amazing jobs and industries in which our successful alumni are working. Students hear real world experience and tips on how to be successful during and after their PVCC education.
PVCC's Division of Fine and Performing Arts, in partnership with Broadway Plus, is excited to host a series of virtual guest artist experiences with current Broadway stars for students, faculty, staff, and members of our community. All of the virtual experiences will be presented via a ZOOM call and require a completed event registration form to attend.
Our first virtual guest artist is actress Jennifer Apple and will be held on Thursday, February 25th from 3:30pm-4:00pm. Please click HERE to complete the event registration form.
About Jennifer Apple:
Jennifer is a multi-hyphenate artist currently starring as Anna in the National Tour of The Band’s Visit, and you’re likely to recognize her from CBS’s New Amsterdam! An accomplished acting coach and performer with an MFA in Acting from the American Conservatory Theater, Jennifer enjoys connecting with Broadway fans and students to work on their craft and coach them towards success. She strives to create a safe space in which individuals are empowered to embrace their truest selves, to stand in grounded vulnerability, and storytell from a place of honesty, authenticity, and strength! On December 14, 2012, Adam Lanza walked into Sandy Hook Elementary School and killed twenty-six innocent souls before taking his own life. These twenty-six innocent deaths, like pebbles thrown into a pond, created ripples and vibrations that were felt far beyond the initial rings. This is the story of those vibrations.
Similar in style to The Laramie Project, playwright Eric Ulloa conducted interviews with members of the community in Newtown and crafted them into an exploration of gun violence and a small town shaken by a horrific event.

The first show is Trifles, directed by Rosemary Dann. Trifles is a show set in 1916, a very impactful piece for it's time! The show tackles themes such as gender, isolation, and justice!
The second show is Hell Cop, written and directed by Jason Jones. A hysterical comedy about, well, cops... in hell! One could say that it's a hell of a time!

Desperado LGBTQ Film Festival
Desperado showcases quality films that are related to the experiences of the LGBT community. The event is educational, enlightening, entertaining, and enjoyable. In addition to the screening of films, local artisans, painters and photographers are showcased in the art gallery.

Christina Carmel has always had a passion for humans. This is why she has chosen to use human beings and their myriad of expressions, conditions, and experiences as the subjects for her art. She hopes her art will inspire us all to find the things that connect us, that bring us together, and that tell our collective story.
It’s been almost one hundred years since anyone from the outside world has stepped foot in Oz. In that time, things have changed for the worse….a new ruler, the Demented Dodo, has overthrown the Ozian government, and he cannot be stopped. Meanwhile back on earth, Clea has been elected student council president, and the new principal of Gale Junior High is making ridiculous regulations in a student handbook he has written. As a thunderstorm rages on, Clea and the school mascot, Ferret-o, are transported to the land of Oz. Can Clea and her pal Ferret-o save Oz and also make changes for the good at her middle school? Who will stand with the Dodo? Who will stand with Clea? Featuring a wide variety of characters from all of Baum’s Oz tales. World Premiere. Appropriate for family audiences.

Festival of Tales is a fun day of reading, literacy and cultural activities for children and families that includes storytelling, arts and crafts, games, face painting, live music, food trucks and much more!
